...and passed her catch to him. It would be interesting to know if anyone else had witnessed this sort of behaviour (I am not an expert on birds). I know that birds feed their mates, but as far as I know it is usually when the mate is hatching eggs (as per hornbills, where the female cannot leave the nest, for instance), but never suspected that they would feed each other when the mate is perfectly capable of helping itself.
Any comments?
