Blackpool Mill Cottage at Hartland Abbey

The cottage was used as a film location for Rosamunde Pilcher’s ‘The Shell Seekers’ with Vanessa Redgrave and Maximillian Schell
In 2007 for Andrew Davies’ adaptation for the BBC of ‘Sense and Sensibility’ with Dan Stevens, Dominic Cooper, David Morrissey, Janet McTeer and Charity Wakefield.
In 2015 the BBC filmed scenes for ‘The Night Manager’ by John Le Carre with Hugh Laurie, Olivia Colman and Tom Hiddleston in and around the cottage, shown in February 2016.

A great location. I wanted to watch the Night Manager on iPlayer because I was away. Then the BBC deleted the first episode before I saw it :(

we stayed in this once when it was cheap 'studio' (no internal walls) and needed 4WD to get to...fascinating it has become so illustrious, but probably means you have to share the beach with other people and certainly not where I placed the end of The Night Manager
