Excellent shot here Martin.
I have enjoyed looking at this gallery and the sepia tones work amazingly.
I like this shot because of the textures, the grits , the bricks , the curves , rails.
the reflection on the engine
All these areas add to the magic of the scene making it excellent.
However in my opinion for what it is worth ?
The sky is not needed ,as being a bland area and light it pulls the eye away from the action.
Also any strong white areas in the background could be blurred/darkened a little to get even more train isolation. Also the drivers face would be better brought up from the shadows a little as he is a strong addition to the scene being out at an angle.
This is already an excellent shot but could be a competition winner with a fraction
more editing to add to the time well spent before.
I hope this is better feedback to the usual quick easy great shot Martin.

totally charming, and so sharply captured...dynamic yet even-paced too...the strong sepia is spot on...V

I really like the composition as the houses pop through in the background.

Another great vintage looking capture. It's such a perfect scene, almost looks like a miniature railroad. V.
