Right after September 11th, 2001 I started noticing all of the flags and the context of where they were being flown. This gallery is a selection from some of the hundreds of images of flags I have taken over the years since then. Where has the flag gone and what has it become?

"New glory" and "layers of history", I think, are my favorites...hard to choose. For me, "new glory" evokes passion and optimism whereas "layers" is a lovely composition. What a fun collection. I always enjoy your work.

I like the way find a unique approach to the image and go beyond the standard vocabulary by using "withering" to display the tattered respect of the flag.
