These images were made during walks around the town I live in - Petaluma, Ca. It is Spring here, the hills are still green from the Winter storms, and the wildflowers are blanketing the hills. One of the reasons I make pictures is to share the beauty I see every day as I wander through life. I try to take my camera with me whenever I go out. I must admit to a little voice inside saying, "How many more flower closeups do you need to take?" but beauty doesn't end with just one flower - each moment of beauty is cumulative, layering the sense that the world is worth saving and enjoying. So here then, is a gallery of some of the things I saw in my April 2006 walkabouts.
