Seeing Pueblos

This gallery is composed of selected images from my World is Round travel essay: Seeing New Mexico: Pueblos. These images were taken, with permission or license, at three New Mexico pueblos - Laguna, Acoma Sky City, and Taos. I selected these images as an overture to my WorldisRound Gallery because they seem to capture the feelings I have about my visits to these villages. Tim -- just noticed that some of the images I mentioned below from your worldisround.com gallery are not included in this gallery. Hopefully you will be able add them at a later time -- they are superb.

As I noted when I first saw these photographs posted on Worldisround.com, nine of these shots stand out in their ability to express ideas. "Culture" and "Different Flower" strike home because of their incongruity. I liked "Romeros", "Shops", and "Essence" because of how they use color to express ideas. "Kiva Stairs", "Worn", and "Peace" speak to us through rhythm and pattern. I enjoyed "Puppy" because of the vantage point you selected. Thanks, Tim, for sharing these insights with us.
