While we both shot the same man, you caught him closing his umbrella, and used the Chinese words as a softly focused screen. In my image athttp://www.pbase.com/pnd1/image/86310524 the umbrella is no longer visible, and the words and stairs are clearly defined. We both use the railing to draw the viewer through the image. And as so often is the case, you choose to shoot vertically while I shoot horizontally. It is always fascinating to see how the same subject -- in this case a man walking down the steps of an underpass -- can be interpreted so differently at the same moment by two different photographers.
