The look on the man's face is interesting. He looks confused, his stance almost confrontational, as he looks to the past and tries to derive some meaning from it. He clearly isn't going to get any answers from these bronze guys....they won't even look at him. I hope he figures it out! Herein lies the challenge of history.

This is an amusing image! The series of sculptures along the river here were fascinating, mimicking life as it was back then in the past. It was as if these people were suddenly frozen in their tracks, doing what they were last doing here. And in this context, you've made it even more fascinating - I know these bronze figures don't move, nor speak, nor breathe, and I love the absurdity of a human being trying to converse with them! I love your sense of humour!
