Pig Dome
Darwin, California February 2007

I was originally drawn to this dome house because of the hula-hoops hanging on the clothes line. And then I say the door-side decorations.

This old mining town of 50 people refuses to die. What surprises greeted us as we walked this town of Darwin. The funky art we saw, as illustrated in this unusual abode, attests to a living creative spirit in the face of what appears to be decay and abandonment. I find meaning in this photo and love the message it conveys.

Amusing abode. Someone likes round shapes. First it's hula hoops and now round siding. ANd it's fun how that little wheel outside the door also is round and compliments the entire round trailer.
