I could not believe this place. I had seen pictures of it and thought "ho-hum that's pretty." But seeing it in reality is something else. No wonder it has inspired so many artists. I love the sense of swirl that is created by the way the spray swings up to the right and the meets the lines in the rock.

This image is breathtaking -- the vertical flow of the water complements the vertical drop of the surrounding valley. I chose a horizontal format to contrast to the vertical drop of the falls -- we each tell the same story in different ways. (http://www.pbase.com/pnd1/image/69217046 )
