The establishment of the University of Virginia was one of Thomas Jefferson's proudest accomplishments. He designed many of the early buildings. This is an abstracted view of The Rotunda, the focal point of the University, which he designed using the Parthenon as an inspiration. I have chosen to show it with the stormy sky as a metaphor for the clouds of ambiguity which surround Jefferson. |
