I am sure you made this one for me, Tim -- you know how much I love to see incongruous moments reflecting human values. This photograph is all about communication, then and now -- and even the now (the guy on the phone) is "then" -- because of the archaic equipment. I also notice a cultural reference -- how the woman in his image is made superfluous, both on the poster and by the two men who are conversing in front of her. The longer I look into this image, the more it says to me about Mexican life -- its a man's world, and most of it is spent talking.
