Lunch along the Mekong

The Mekong was the highway we traveled and life seemed to center along its banks.

This photo is even more dramatic when seen in print. I think it is my favorite of all Tim's work to date.

A beautiful environmental portrait, based on scale incongruity. Even with your low key approach to light and color here, and their small size, the monks in their orange robes draw the eye. The Monks and the Mekong here are inseparable.
