Photoshop can indeed do more a photograph than just enhance its appearance. It can allow us to subtly stress details that carry meaning, and in doing so, help the image express its idea more effectively. That's apparently what you've been able to do with this net -- it absolutely explodes out of his hands, bringing great energy and meaning to this image.
I am intrigued that you used the term "explosive force." Because it is an example of how post processing can add meaning to an image. I used subtle lightening and saturation techniques to increase the light on the part of the net extending from the hand of the thrower.
A superb rendering of skill in action. There is so much energy here, and you subdue both detail and color here to allow that energy to dominate the image. I was able to find a similar moment in my own net-throw image athttp://www.pbase.com/pnd1/image/40174225 . Your fisherman hurls his net with explosive force. Mine lifts his net gracefully into the air. I use color to add atmospheric context, while you allow your moment of expressive force to dominate. Same subject, two different styles at work, and two different stories told. In expressive travel photography, the possibilities are infinite.
