Actually, they are not Buddha. In Asia, people usually handle Buddha statues with extra care. These are just little toys. They are images of monks (the shaved head). If they are the toys I am think about, you put it in a plat of water and pour hot water over the toy; a few seconds later, it starts “peeing”… I bought one of those from China a few years ago :)

You can turn the ordinary into the extraordinary by seeing meaning in the most common of subjects. If, indeed, these are images of Buddha, you have created an unlikely gathering of them, and then given it resonance with an intensity of light, contrast, and color.
