I think your own version, which juxtaposes the old car with the red neon -- it seems to be almost riding back into the past.
Thank you for your comment - Yes, it was taken from inside the bar and that is the neon sign on for the bar. I think it also interesting that my friend Phil also took a shot from within the building which includes he car but has an entirely different, almost opposite feel to it:http://www.pbase.com/pnd1/image/35604508 .

I'm wondering if the orange is because this was photographed from the inside of a restaurant or shop and that was a bit of neon signage. And what it is doesn't matter one bit. It makes this image. Whether the car was moving or parked, there is a sense of movement that makes this interesting and keeps it from being static. You have just the right proportion of car in the frame and the perfect placement of the car in the frame.
