Lost Pot of Gold

Often ghost towns are remnants of 19th Century lives. This feels like the beginning of a ghost town of the 20th Century. This image is from Mountainair, New Mexico.

A ghostly and thought provoking image -- the juxtaposition of the faded vertical rainbow and the abstracted silhouette on the door refer to the past, the peeling paint and the weedy doorstep bring us into the present. These layers in time are juxtaposed to create incongruity and meaning. A great photo, Tim.
