Iris is correct. Just as one of Tim's earlier images commented on the present election campaign of Donald Trump, (seehttp://www.pbase.com/mityam/image/162797578), this image could be interpreted as a reference to Trump's campaign promise barring Muslim immigration to the US.

I agree with Phil's observation of contrasting secular pleasures and theological tradition, a culture clash as you call it. However, given our current political climate, this photo juxtaposing the huge stuck out tongue with the timely appearance of the Muslim woman, takes on a more offensive interpretation. Good photo....interesting conversation opener.

Another matchup of incongruous subjects. I love the way you cropped the signage, stressing the monumentally-sized extended tongue and the disgusting mouthful of colorful candy, and contrasting it to the abstracted Muslim woman, clad in conservative black, walking below it. You contrast secular pleasures to theological tradition here, a fact of life in this greatest melting pot of all.
