pumped up on meds in addition to possibly being without your glasses makes it really tough to see clearly for a lot of the time you are lying there. Still the softly focused image of a loved one arriving is clear in your heart if not your eyesight.

I like the contrast between the first and second images. A hospital room can be a lonely place, and the arrival of a loved one often becomes almost imaginary. The soft focus not only expresses this idea, it also brings helps the viewer see (or not see) through your eyes.
