Once again, you and I were shooting side by side here from the roof of a New York City building. We both shoot men walking past those arrows going in opposing directions. You stop your subject actually superimposed on the yellow line between the two symbolic choices. He simply avoids making choices. My subject, is also in the center, but further away from the two choices. (http://www.pbase.com/pnd1/image/110781545 ) He seems to be moving diagonally, instead of horizontally, through the frame, as he may be confused about which direction he is going (as you noted in the comment you left on this image). He seems to plod through the city to the beat of his own drum -- part of, as you note, "the chaos that is NYC."
