By leaving the people in at the bottom, you layer the image and give Old Faithful its scale. It looks as if they are in an art museum and looking at giant oil painting -- such is the nature of your coloration and soft focus on the geyser. I recall the evening light as spectacular. I am in the red jacket next to Iris in the middle of that crowd. I checked the exif data on my photo of it athttp://www.pbase.com/pnd1/image/104710875 and compared it to yours. Our cameras registered the same moment, one hour apart, probably because of our differing time zones.
