I remember spending a lot of time composing a similar image (http://www.pbase.com/image/103635989 ) and again, we each come with a different point using nearly the same composition. Your island seems to float on the water, creating a serene mood. My island is much darker, due to under exposure, and becomes an abstracted shape that seems to be emerging from the depths of the crater. Your mood is peaceful, while mine is primeval and menacing.
