Economic Sunset
Reykjavik, Iceland - July 2009

Iceland has suffered greatly from the world-wide financial meltdown. This picture represents that meltdown both symbolically through the sunset and actually if you look closely at the big building - it is completely empty. High hope built this high rise, but so far, those hopes are unfulfilled.

What a striking comment on the bad loans that bankrupted this country. We can see right through the building. It was built on a dream, yet there was no substance there to save it when push came to shove.
