The tall weeds in the foreground suggest to me that this car has been put out to pasture. It's time has come and gone, even though it was a much better time back then. It IS rather sad.

I agree with Rosemarie. This image could certainly be a metaphor for our struggling auto industry. The car, a vintage car, represents a better, more prosperous day for the industry. The car is a blur of times past. The barbed wire, sharp in its twisted reality, tells a tale of the present. This is a sad image.

What a great title, especially as the auto industry struggles to survive in the 21st century.
Love the rusty reds in the wire and the auto.

Wonderful macro work, creating a juxtaposition in selectively focused symbols. The rusty barbs not only lock the car in -- they keep us out as well.
