This makes me really want to find out who this gent is. His rough face speaks volumes of hard work but we will never know much detail about his life. I like how you matched this guy up with a cigarette poster! The two seem connected yet I realize that coincidence is most likely a larger factor.

Great portrait! He certainly looks like a hard living man who probably had a Viceroy or two in his day Do they even make Viceroy's anymore?

Shades of the Marlboro Man! Real Tobacco meets a Real Man. Your detailed portrait is straight forward and revealing. There is no self-consciousness here, just self assurance. His face, right down to the sun burned nose, and soiled hat tells us how he lived. Cartier-Bresson once noted that "wrinkles are a mark of life. After awhile, everyone gets the face they deserve." Case in point. Well done.
