I really like the diagonal line running from the mule deer's ear to her neck. Great contrast between the sharp wild rose thorns and the doe's fur.
Hope you got some wolf pics like this from the other "crown jewel" national park.
We must look twice here before we see a deer. I was not sure what the animal in question was until I looked at the image from a distance. A clever idea, using selective focus to camouflage an animal.
