This is a reasonable facsimile of my first car, a 1961 Volkswagen Beetle. My friend Craig located it for me & I bought it in late 1966 for $300.

It had around 100K m. on it but was in near perfect shape (for a few days) until it slid off the road onto a snowbank top and tipped on its side.

I treated it abysmally but it valiantly chugged on for well over another hundred thousand miles and was still running when I sold it years later.

It certainly was not my all time favorite car to drive but we had a lot of fun times together. It is definitely my best automobile purchase ever.
