The Sony FE 50mm f1.8 is an inexpensive optical gem.
100% center and far edge crops at f2.0 are illustrated here.
I consider this to have excellent center sharpness and more than acceptable far upper left corner sharpness in the insert for a lens that is essentially wide open at f2.0.
The image has been demosaiced in ACR using default RAW sharpening and would, in my estimation, require modest base sharpening at the full size image depending on usage.
There is a small red outlined insert at 100% from a f1.8 shot showing some reddish fringing that essentially does not exist at f2.0. Minimal defringing in ACR completely removes it.
Roughly 0.25 EV of correction evens out the vignetting discrepancy between the far corner patch and center detail. I would sidestep the issue entirely by using lens correction in ACR or in-camera JPEG correction.
