Comparison of the Sony-Zeiss FE 16-35 and the 'Samyang' 14mm in ther central area. This is somewhat unfair because they are processed differently.

100% detail areas shown in the red frames of the two inserts. f16 was used because consistent focus was more important than optimal sharpness.

Note the different 'sun stars'. Much nicer on the Sony Zeiss with its 7 aperture blades vs the 6 on the 'Samyang'.

Also note the 'Airy disk' on the Sony Zeiss sun star (lower left).
