An F4 tornado went through Lake Burton April 27, 2011 and I couldn’t help but shake my head in wonderment.
This is a view looking up through the missing ceiling of a roofless garage, with that missing roof deposited on the side of the hill. I have no idea where the box springs came from.
Further up the hill is a relatively intact dock, complete with a boat-slip, hanging from a tree like a giant had been playing horseshoes.
The garage is a quarter mile from the lake.
