At long last, work starts May 29, 2012 on the PennDot contract awarded to Marino Brothers.

A Section 106 requirement to preserve the Shelter Sheds has been rejected by the state. SEPTA promises to demolish the Sheds on the first weekend in June, saving some parts so that they can be recreated at some future time, possibly on the Cynwyd Trail.
