Carved firemen at 1328 Race St, Philadelphia

About where you would see the capitals in a Romanesque church, at the tops of the openings for the garage doors, there are carved "gargoyles" celebrating the city's firemen. The building, long used by the police, is soon to be demolished for the expansion of Convention Hall.
There's more about the carvings on this Gargoyle site.
A tee shirt is available from Cafepress

More gargoyles/grotesques, possibly by the same sculptor, at The Church of the Redeemer.
