The Limestone cableway

Kalklinbanan, the world's longest cableway of its kind (42 km/26 miles), was opened in 1941 and taken out of service in 1997.
It's such a well preserved industrial monument, and hopefully it'll become a tourist attraction soon so that it won't just rust away and be forgotten.
I'd be happy to take a ride in one of those trolleys. I got such a kick out of climbing one of the pylons to take some of the photos,
and crawling under the fence to get inside the dark and spooky greasing station was pretty damn thrilling as well.
Seeing this for real surely felt surreal, and it's one of the coolest places I've visited for a long time.

This is a super gallery Mattias! A mysterious place and made all the more interesting because of the story behind it. Thanks for sharing this.
