I have been looking through all your photos and am amazed! Living in Eastern WA I have seen the Northern Lights a couple dozen times and I wish I had the equipment to capture a few times when they were so overwhelming they took my breath away. I love the stars, live out in the country and really appreciate you are able to share your talent with others who have not been blessed with such sights in their lives and for those of us until now, only had them in our memories. Thank you for sharing!!

Thanks for writing and sharing, DJ. I have an almost identical story to yours only it was my father who passed away in August of that same year. I even have a photo of him standing at a telescope looking at Hale Bopp. That's why I think photos are so great. They bring back the memories of the place and time. Dan

Dan, your Hale Bopp photos are magnificent. Watched this comet with my Mother as often as I could. She was 82 in 1997 and had never seen a comet before. We were both thrilled by it, then Mother passed away in Oct.,'97.
