On this very cold - 16° F morning - drove down to the end of Grebe Drive, parked, and hiked out on a very frozen primitive trail to the shoreline of Grebe Point.
The Common Merganser flew in and landed just off the shoreline as I was hiking back to my truck. It didn't see me as I was behind a thick stand of cedars.
