Drove out Grebe Drive and parked; hiked to Grebe Point for a good look at the open water.
Headed NW along the Primitive Trail towards Crooked Run.
This loon was making awful cries; over-and-over. Thought he/she might be injured, but after about 8 minutes, the calls quit and she appeared to be just resting on the ice. As I moved away from her, the vocals completely stopped.
Maybe I had just frightened her.
