Cool start with blustery winds and overcast; not a great day for hiking the NW end of the West arm of Lake Frederick.
Very few birds for most of the first hour; as I neared Crooking Run, I started seeing some activity.
I hiked the bone dry Crooked Run creek bed all the way to where the high electric wires run East & West; turned and hiked back home.
