Common Loon (Juvenile) & Adult

Lincoln, Maine

I'm in Lincoln Maine on Folsom Pond (staying at Eagle Lodge). This is an image I took from my 'nucanoe' while being wind-blown. Note: Found out from Justin Morse (Eagle Lodge owner)
that this juvenile had recently been totally harassed by a pair of Bald Eagles. That's why nearly all my images show the juvenile looking up.

Terrific photo. Not much meat on a young loon so you wonder why an eagle bothers except that it’s easy pickings.
