Started out a cool 40° F, but by my return hike, it had warmed up considerably. Hiked the west arm of Lake Frederick to Crooked Run; crossed and hiked the opposite side of the lake for another mile; then returned.
This beaver was chomping of a tender chunk of root he/she had uprooted.
