Have spotted this cuckoo species twice on an Arizona vacation but was unable to get a lens on either of them.
Today, while driving on route 96 in Olney Springs, Colorado, I took several distant photos through the passenger side window of my truck.
He was gathering what looked to be grass (in his bill in this image) for nesting materials - might be a male.
