Before leaving Hereford, Arizona, we decided to do a hike into Miller Canyon. We found this canyon unlike Ramsey or Ash Canyons.
Miller Canyon was open and we saw limited birds (might have been time-of-day); we went looking for a "Whiskered Screech-Owl".
I'm guessing this was a last-year flower; it was beautiful in the lighting.
