Made several stops along J.N. Ding Darling NWR on the Pine Island Sound side of Sanibel Island.
On an incoming tide, several of these small snakes were visible under shallow water; periodically bringing their head up for air.
After some research, these could be - Mangrove Salt Marsh Snakes.
