Scarlet Tanager

Warrenton, Virginia

Fall plumage hawking insects from one of our Holly trees.
This male appears to have molted all of his scarlet red very early this Fall.

None too scarlet, but very pretty nevertheless. Beaut soft colours and excellent pose and composition.
