I just saw the question and I think it is about 8 months later.
Oh well- in case you look again, this was the Minolta 5D, with a Sigma 300 F/4 lens, a 1.4X matched teleconverter, and a 25mm extension tube. I end up with close to lifesize at a couple of feet away!
