OK I confess!
I was on one of my drive around NJ looking for photo ops on a really dark summer day with impending thunderstorms when I came across this bridge in Neshanic Station. The bridge was painted dead white and jumped out because of the dark sky and the surrounding trees. I went with the high contrast because that’s exactly how the scene presented itself (I actually had to tone it down a bit with curves). It looked like there was a spotlight on the bridge. The angle was not so much one of choosing but practicality as there was traffic, I had to wait for no cars on the road (it was NJ after all) because I wanted the feel of the pic to be that of an isolated spot.

Hi Robin, Luke and Duke:

It is not me. Robin's analysis about my B & W images is almost spot on. Thanks Robin.

Cheers.

Datta.

Ok, The contrast is more like Duke, and he could be trying to throw people off by doing B&W but there is something about the angle of the shot that says Vince. Vince's work usually is not this contrasty, but he has been known to go high contrast. I'm going to go with Vince.

I know when you see B&W you think Datta, but I'm not so certain here. Datta's work usually has more shades of grey in it, and I think Datta would have shot from a different perspective. Could be Datta, but I guessing not. Of course right now I don't have a better guess though.
