Indian Ocean (Jan. 6, 2005) – Sailors wait to load bags of toys onto an HH-60H Seahawk helicopter assigned to the “Golden Falcons” of Helicopter Anti-Submarine Squadron Two (HS-2) on the flight deck aboard USS Abraham Lincoln (CVN 72). Crew members assigned to Abraham Lincoln and embarked Carrier Air Wing Two (CVW-2) donated toys in an event sponsored by the 1st Class Petty Officer Association. The event was aimed at putting a smile on children’s faces that were left with little or nothing after the Tsunami that struck South East Asia. Over 250 toys have been donated and will be distributed to children in Aceh, Sumatra, Indonesia. The Abraham Lincoln Carrier Strike Group is currently operating in the Indian Ocean off the waters of Indonesia and Thailand in support of Operation Unified Assistance.
