A big thanks to Todd Byrum and Bob Sipp for coming down from PA to put this class on for us!
Todd & Bob where ready for when the bikes rolled in to check the carb’s for vacuum leaks and other possible problems before removing them for rebuilding. Then Todd gave his famous carburetor lecture as seen at Super Tech weekends and MOA Nationals, describing how the carburetors worked with props, diagrams and the carburetor cut-a-ways made by Bob Sipp, bisecting all the passages and internal components.
The instructors supervised the students as they disassembled the carburetors in a step by step fashion, interjecting tips and words of caution for those tricky spots as they went. After a short lunch break, it was back to work and the reassembly began. Shortly thereafter the carbs where back on the bikes and the tuning began with both carb sticks and a twin-Max to show both popular methods.
Both experienced and beginners learned something new and came away with a greater understanding and confidence to rebuild and maintain their Bing CV Carburetors.
Again a special thanks to Bob Sipp & the Bing International LLC. for their publications, manuals and contributions.
