Mom before her bypass surgery
We’ve had a little change in our Christmas plans! My Mom had a heart catheterization this week, and did not get the report we had hoped for!
She will be having triple (or possibly quadruple) bypass surgery this Friday. She is in incredible spirits, as she was a few years ago when
she shattered her leg so badly. She is a real inspiration to us all! We are praying for and counting on a highly successful surgery!
Thursday, December 20th: THANKS to all of you for your prayers for my Mom!!
We feel very confident in her surgeon, and know your prayers are being heard!
Will add a post when I get home from the hospital tomorrow night! I am grateful to you all!
Friday, December 21st: I appreciate your continued prayers!!!
Mom came through the surgery beautifully, but ended up having FIVE bypasses! She was still very groggy and not breathing on her
own when we left after 13 hours at the hospital. The care she is receiving at the hospital is phenomenal!!!
We know she will have a few rough days, but she is doing great!
Saturday, December 22nd: Found Mom sitting up in a chair in her room in the ICU this morning - off the ventilator!
Which is great news! She was a bit teary at first, but once she knew my Dad, sisters, niece and I were there and would be coming
in and out as often as allowed, she seemed much better! Please continue your prayers for her recovery! Thanks!!
