On the left side you can see famous peninsula Prevlaka, a long time disputed territory between Montenegro and Croatia due to its strategic position and entrance of Boka Bay,
demilitarized and held under UN custody for ~ 10 years. As far as i know, it is now a neutral territory with unresolved legal status. In front is island Mamula with fortress built by
Austro-Hungarians. During World War II, the fort was used as a prison by Italians (Campo Mamula).
The prison was known for torture and cruelty to the prisoners.
