This is the section of town most people think of when they think of Victoria. The Empress Hotel and the B.C. Parliament building are iconic buildings that say "Victoria" the way the Golden Gate Bridge says "San Francisco." Locals think of the Inner Harbour as the tourists' part of town, and tend to avoid it the way San Franciscans avoid Fisherman's Wharf if they're not entertaining out-of-town guests. If you've never been there, I hope the photos will convey at least some of the charm of it. If you have been to Victoria, I hope they'll bring back good memories. . . .
